La Pared beach
La Pared bay is 900 m long, with light-coloured and fine sand. Since the beach is situated on the west coast of Fuerteventura there's always a torrential surge and a perilous current. Thus, the beach is absolutely unsuitable for bathing. Nevertheless it is fascinating (like almost all beaches on the west coast). Due to the lack of tourists it appears lonely and deserted. However, if you like sunbathing and are satisfied with putting just your feet into the water, you will love this beach. You won't hear any noise apart from the noise of the crashing waves. This place is ideal for relaxing!
Another tip: park your car above the beach near the former hotel "Costa Real". From there you can descend to the beach via steps.
Directions and parking options
How to get to the beach:
From JandÃa on the FV2: Drive straight through Costa Calma. Then turn left on the great roundabout outside Costa Calma (exit La Pared). The road to La Pared is not (yet) asphalted, thus turn left into the bumpy road at the small place-name sign. After a few metres the road is asphalted again. Then follow the road (in one part of the road there are palm trees in the middle). At the end of the road just carry on on the gravel road (see picture). Carry on towards the sea and look for a suitable place where you can park your car.
